F.A.Q.

As I've read over the years, these are the questions I have gotten the most from people who are interested in reading.

Q: Do Tarot Cards predict the future?
A: Some people believe that the Tarot Cards can be interpreted to give people messages about their futures.  Other people look to them for advice about current love or financial situations.  Some people do not believe that Tarot Cards can predict the future, but simply enjoy getting readings for the fun of it, or out of curiosity.  I am open to reading for both types of people.

Q: How accurate are you?
A: While I would like to let you decide that after you get a reading from me, many people have told me that I am very accurate.  Including some of the more skeptical of my clients.

Q: Can Christians get Tarot readings?
A: That is something the individual Christian will have to answer for him/herself.  I personally do not believe there is anything evil or Satanic about Tarot Cards, but then again I am not here to tell you what to believe.  I have read for many Christians before.  In one case, a Christian asked me to do a reading for her about her relationship with Jesus. Readings can be very personalized.

Q: What kind of questions can I ask the Tarot?
A: I have been asked a wide variety of questions over the years.  Many young people ask me if love is coming into their life, or if their current relationship is going to last.  Others ask about money, careers, spiritual fulfillment, health, their personalities, the upcoming year, the safety and well-being of loved ones, and so on.  Generally speaking I prefer people ask questions about themselves and not about other people.  This can be as simple as asking, "what can I be doing to help my daughter/son/husband/etc?" or "tell me about my relationship with this person," instead of asking about the person's personal details.  In general, I do not want to create misunderstandings or conflicts between people, nor do I want to delve too deeply into someone else's privacy.

Q: Can the Tarot tell me I'm going to die?
A: Except for ONE time when I did a reading about a classmate who had gone missing, I have never clearly seen death in a reading.  The "Death" card and the "Devil" card generally tend to scare new clients a bit, but rest-assured neither of these cards are likely to indicate literal, imminent death (yours or someone else's).

Q: What religion is Tarot associated with?
A: Stereotypically, many Tarot readers are practitioners of Pagan, Wiccan, or New Age religions.  This is not always the case.  Many Tarot readers are not religious, though Tarot readers come from a wide variety of spiritual paths.  I know a Christian reader and a couple of non-religious readers, as well as readers who identify as Pagan or Wiccan.
